What to Expect During Your US Appointment
Flow of the Appointment
You will first be seen by our Ultrasound Technologist for a brief clinical history followed by a screening ultrasound of the problem area, if necessary
You will then be seen by our physician who will perform a full clinical history and physical examination
You will then have a discussion about treatment options
General Comments
If you have a history of fainting, please tell your doctor
Please ensure adequate fluid intake on the day of procedure
For PRP Injections
Please avoid the following 7 days prior to your procedure:
Anti-inflammatory medications:
Baby aspirin, aspirin
Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
Naproxen (Aleve)
Supplements:
Vitamin E, Vitamin A, ginko, garlic, flax, cod liver oil
Please avoid the following 3 days prior to your procedure:
Recreational substances: Marijuana, smoking, and alcohol
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is okay to take for pain control
