What to Expect  During Your Appointment

General Comments

  • If you have a history of fainting, please tell your doctor
  • Please ensure adequate fluid intake on the day of procedure

For Injections

  • Please avoid the following 7 days prior to your procedure:
    • Anti-inflammatory medications:
      • Baby aspirin, aspirin
      • Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
      • Naproxen (Aleve)
    • Supplements:
      • Vitamin E, Vitamin A, ginko, garlic, flax, cod liver oil
  • Please avoid the following 3 days prior to your procedure:
    • Recreational substances: Marijuana, smoking, and alcohol
  • Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is okay to take for pain control
